Antidrug March Day proclaimed
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Several Ellijay, East Ellijay and Gilmer County officials have signed a proclamation declaring Saturday, April 28, as Antidrug Day in the community. Seated (l-r) are Ellijay Mayor Al Hoyle, Gilmer County Sheriff Stacy Nicholson, and East Ellijay Police Chief Greg Arp. The highlight of the day will be a big March against Drugs that begins at approximately 10 a.m., from the Ellijay Lions Club on Hwy. 5 south, and ends with a rally at Ellijay Elementary School on McCutchen Street.
